Spin AR is an immersive indoor cycling experience built specifically for Spectacles. The goal was to remove friction from traditional fitness interfaces and create a fully hands-free, spatial training system that blends physical performance with augmented reality.
We chose Spectacles for their lightweight form factor and effortless usability. There’s no setup, no handheld device, and no external screen , users simply wear the glasses and ride. The system connects directly to the training bike via Bluetooth, enabling real-time data synchronisation between physical effort and the AR environment.
Our goal was to make the technology disappear. If you notice the interface, we’ve failed.

Rather than navigating spatial menus with hand gestures, we replaced the interface with an AI cycling coach. The rider speaks their training goal out loud, and the AI instantly designs a personalized route and interval structure. No menus. No friction. Just intent translated into action.

As you ride, AR rings serve as spatial anchors for your workout, appearing at set intervals to guide your intensity. The logic is simple: push, recover, repeat. By translating data into digital targets, we make training visual and effort immersive. It’s an interface that doesn't just show you progress - it leads you through it.
Though Spin AR is currently a prototype, it signals a shift - redefining augmented sports and hinting at a broader evolution in how humans and machines interact naturally.
